Poppy Beach [11/30/25] [Ordinary]

Rough visual of Beach [James Dadzitis/SWNS]

First and only visit. Endless(?) field of red poppies that gives away to open ocean. Sky is completely hidden by cloud cover, and visibility is relatively low due to thick fog. Soil is extremely soft, as if it were just recently disturbed for planting. The flowers come up higher than normal, observably waist high and damp with dew and condensation. The soil gives way to the sand of the beach after a small crest in the land. The sand has a normal texture and is pale periwinkle in color, as is the color of the sea. Getting closer to the water I notice that the ocean floor is littered with translucent, smooth, and round rocks/gemstones. Another keepsake that unfortunately cannot be carried into the waking world. There is a distant and faint melody playing somewhere in the distance, I cannot remember the nature of the song or the instrument playing it. Accompanied by one who needs guidance. Pleasant and no feelings of fear throughout. I would love to see this place again in the future.
